When writing The Monsoon Killed the Tiger, I set out to aggregate in one novel my love of adventure, motorcycling, and photography along with my failed relationships, disgust with corporate arrogance, and disenchantment with “prescribed” life into a complex web of intrigue, betrayal, and romance–fed by well-developed characters. In addition, I intended to resolve in fictional terms my discordant, life-changing experiences in Vietnam as well as wrestle disparate cultures into reconciliation.
