Combat Audio Vietnam

The following seven short tracks are recordings made on a tiny, battery operated, reel-to-reel recorder in late 1969 at the An Dinh Outpost in Duc Hue District, Hau Nghia Province, South Vietnam. Voices you hear are those of the author and James C Smith orchestrating helicopter gunship and artillery support while under attack. Both incoming and outgoing weapons sounds can be heard, as well as the staccato voices from chopper pilots.
