In 1970, upon my return from Vietnam, I hustled to the Texas Big Bend in my newly purchased Fiat 124 Spider, which looked much better than it ran. The highlight of that journey was an off-trail hike with one of the park rangers and a myrmecologist.The following pix depict that wonderful outing.
